Just opened another window now to look at instead! I'll stop moaning!

I was mentioning about Pete and Bryony Baker coming and talking about the future well. The future for me is hopefully running a Pais team in Southampton. So have been contacting ministers and things this week to try and tell them about Pais. I'm really hoping that this will work out well and we can do some amazing things in Southampton like we are hopefully going to do this year in Weymouth and Portland!

I really like the "Small world" Stories! I think they are amazing and so incredibly coincidental that they are fantastic. Well heres another one, I was at a meeting for Satelitte which is a youth event for young people all over weymouth and portland with a group of youth leaders from around the region to discuss the next event. I knew all of them bar one but the lady I didn't know Vicky looked incredibly familiar! I went home and later in the week looked her up on facebook and she had mutual friends with a few obvious people from around the weymouth region and then the strange one my sister! (Not saying she is strange but she wasn't a natural mutual friend! She is strange but thats beside the point ;) Just kidding) So I spoke to Lucy (My sister) and realised that she was her leader on a christian kids camp in Turkey! Very exciting. Will be cool to speak to her again at the next meeting! Small world!

We have been to loads of cool places this week. We went on a Jurassic Coast tour in a landrover. It was a really great trip. I need to find out the name of the company because it was a really intresting tour and would love to do it again sometime. The tour guide was really amazing too!

We also went to Portland bill which was really great fun too.

I also went to Portland to see my friends Clive and Tracey. I never knew that Traceys parents live on Portland. So they had come to visit them! Was really exciting to see them!

I am off to Portland now to play XBox! Have a great day!!

Friday/Saturday!

Yesterday was a good day indeed!
Pete and Bryony Baker came down from Burnley to see the Pais Weymouth and Portland team. If you don't know Pete is the National director of Pais in Great Britain. Was really good to chat to him and talk through the future! We also went on a hunt for a mosque in Weymouth. We didn't find it but it looked like there was supposed to have been one on a certain street but it had gone. Weymouth doesn't seem to be very multi racial or multi ethnic as far as I can see.

Had a meeting with a headmaster at Wey Valley school. Hayley and I went along. It was my first meeting that I had had with a headteacher in a Secondary/High school. As a side point, I always called them secondary school so got confused by the term High School, I think High School is an American and Northern term for Secondary schools. Anyway we spoke for about 20 minutes about us working in the school and it seemed like they'd really like to have us in the school. We will hear early next week.

I was annoyed last night. Well slightly annoyed. I think annoyed was probably to strong a word, well I wasn't even slightly annoyed. I have gone to a thesarus to find the word that I am. I realise that I think it is slightly miffed! I had a packet of twiglets yesterday and they had no flavour on them. Awful. I still ate them but what I wanted was the flavour all over my fingers and then you can lick that off and it tastes great. Alas no. :(. There is a new flavour of Twiglets now Worchester sauce flavour. I bet they had flavour! Rant over!

I have been invited to a BBQ today on Portland which will be really exciting! Haven't been to a bbq in a few weeks. Yay.

Football on today, hoping I might be able to watch a game which would be really fun. We'll see!

Anywho Have an awesome day!!

Week 1

This week we have been getting a feel for the Weymouth and Portland area.
Yesterday we were in Portland and some of the views from there are amazing. It is really beautiful. Sadly my phone camera can't quite show the amazingness of it. Had coffee with a former Newcastle player yesterday. He played for them just after the war. Well he was a subsitute for them but never actually played. Played for Portland instead. Slight geographical difference! If you are in Portland you aren't allowed to say the R word. I can imagine you are trying to work out what the R word is. I can't think of any usual rude words beginning with R. Don't try and think about one too hard. The word you can't say is R*bbits. In Portland they are called, Bunnies, Underground Mutton or Long-Eared Furry Things. They caused lots of problems many years ago in the quarries. Its mainly older residents that don't like it being said now. I will try to not to say it over there!

My flat is really really great. Its really easy to get to Church, Beach, Town Centre, Bus Stop. I am recognising loads of places in Weymouth from where I did street pastors there when I here a couple of months ago.

We have met most of the ministers. My minister is called Paul White, he is an amazing guy and I can't wait to properly start working with him. Should be really good. Loads of guys from our church are really amazing.

I need to plan my devotion for today, so should probably stop typing! But its been fun.

Remember you can follow me on twitter. www.twitter.com/robwfc!

I'm in Weymouth!

Its quite strange. Foundational training is over and we have been commissioned to go out to Great Britain and spread Gods word. Its a daunting task but its one that I am relishing the prospect of! I apologise if I repeat stuff from the previous blog can't quite remember what I wrote though! The commisioning service was really great loads of people from all over the country to prayer for us and see us be sent out as missionaries. There are teams in loads of locations this year. Some of the areas have got bigger. Weymouth and Portland which is where I am now has a youth team which I will be running. The other teams are Blackburn and Accrington, Burnley and Pendle, Clitheroe, Blackpool, Bolton, Leicester and Rotherham. I feel like I have forgotten a team but I probably haven't.

I set off with Hayley at 6.45am yesterday to get the train to Manchester megabus station. The Megabus took us to Southampton and then we got a lift to Weymouth from my parents. The rest of the team had been given a lift by Dan Price one of the guys who was on the Burnley team last year who is a great friend of mine. Great guy!

Very excited to be in Weymouth! Stayed with Sally and Pat from New Covenant Church yesterday and have now moved into a little flat which is great! Sally really helped us to progress with getting a meeting in the school Wey Valley on Friday which is really exciting.

Went to town today to get a few things. Bumped into Paul my Minister for the year in Asda and then bumped into the 3 german girls on our team in the car phone warehouse.

Off out this evening for fish and chips! Can't wait!

Remember follow me on twitter! www.twitter.com/robwfc for the latest news and thoughts

A New Pais Year!

Hey! Its my first non Renovate Life Church Blog!
Its weird not having it linked to Renovate. Its quite strange not being in Blackpool and St Annes.

So this year I am going to be in Weymouth and Portland working with Pais there. I am working on a team with Hayley Goodwin and Jenny Thompson will be arriving at some point. I have one person on my youth team called Mirjam and there are two people on the Childrens team Jenny and Naemi! Its been great i've been in Burnley for nearly 2 weeks now. We have learnt loads of really cool things from different people on Pais. I am really looking forward to starting work as a Team Leader in Weymouth and Portland. Its been good seeing people with Pais that I already know like Dan Randall, Hannah Faulkner, Carolyn Jewitt, James Moss and lots of others! Met some new amazing people too. Its really exciting to see people are going to do great things for Pais this year.

We had an amazing talk from Mark Ritchie today he is an amazing Scottish Christian, who is doing amazing things in England and Scotland. He was really inspirational talk and gave us all loads to think about.

We are headed back there on Sunday morning on the Megabus and we start proper work on Tuesday which should be really great.

This summer has been a mixed one. Didn't get to go to too many places. Went to London a couple of times which was really great! I met James Corden and Rob Brydon which was really great. If you don't know who they are. GOOGLE THEM! I also spent loads of time catching up with old mates from Southampton which was really good too.
